Expansión has once again published its annual ranking of law firms: ONTIER has climbed positions and consolidated its presence in all categories. Particularly notable is its ranking among Spanish law firms by global revenue (including Spain) - #5 - and by revenue generated abroad - # 4, behind just Cuatrecasas, Uría Menéndez and Garrigues.
The publication attributes the growth in ONTIER's revenue - of 19.7% at the global level - to strong international expansion. “Its intense international expansion strategy - the firm is already present in 13 countries - has driven this growth. So much so that its international business already represents nearly 60% of its revenue”, writes Laura Saiz, reporter at Expansión.
Among the top 25 law firms by revenue in Spain and among the 30 most productive
In 2016, ONTIER defended its position on the ranking of the firms that generate the most revenue in Spain. “A ranking which features three of the top ten players in continental Europe, the increasingly powerful legal arms of the Big Four accounting firms, a dozen national firms and over 25 foreign practices”, underscores Carlos García León, an expert legal consultant. At €19.6 million, our firm's home-market revenue rose by a notable 15.2% year-on-year.
In addition to these excellent results, we performed very well on the headcount ranking, placing #18 out of a total of 68 firms, driven by growth in the number of lawyers of 18% and in overall employees of 23%; we also ranked among the top 30 most productive Spanish law firms.
